No law to justify towing of mopeds by University

I drive my moped to campus everyday, not just from one place on campus to another.

I sold my car because it was too expensive to maintain. I park in designated scooter parking spaces, and I have no permit.

Do you know why? Because there is no law that says I need one. Under State law, which I thought the University was supposed to be following, mopeds do not fall in the same categories as motorcycles and cars.

They cannot be charges for parking because they are, by law, bicycles.

The University towing mopeds would be them making their own laws, and unless something has changined in the last 200 or so years, they can’t do that.

I would like to see the tow my scooter and deal with me in small claims court.
